Police have released a CCTV image of a man and a woman they want to speak to in connection with a theft in Ellesmere Port.
At around 2.30pm on Saturday 26 January a purse was stolen from a 64-year-old woman’s handbag as she was shopping at the Peacocks store on Mercer Walk.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers believe that the man and the woman in the CCTV image may be able to help with their investigation.
They are urging anyone who recognises them or thinks they may know who they are to get in touch.
Sergeant Simon Hignett said: “We believe that the man and the woman in the CCTV image may have important information to help with our ongoing investigation into the theft of a purse in Ellesmere Port.
“The incident left the victim from Neston extremely upset and we are determined to establish who was responsible for the theft and make them face the consequences of their actions.
