North Wales Police have seen a small increase in bike thefts.
North Wales Police are encouraging all Flintshire North residents to consider the following crime prevention advice to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of crime.
When not using your bike, try and keep/store it in a location which is out of sight.
Consider buying a good quality bike lock.
If storing your bike in a shed/garage, consider buying CCTV which covers the area where the bike is kept.
When storing your bike at home, consider purchasing floor anchors to secure your bike to with a padlock and chain.
Consider purchasing security lighting for the location.
Log and register your bike and other valuables on Immobilise:

Consider purchasing SmartWater to forensically mark your valuables.
What is SmartWater?
SmartWater is a forensic marking kit.
SmartWater works in the same way as DNA.
One bottles can mark up to 80 items.
