Shiver me timbers!! Cheshire’s Anderton Boat Lift is getting ready for their biggest pirate invasion yet!! On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July the swashbuckling 'Pirate Brethren' will take over the grounds of the Boat Lift with a whole weekend of FREE, action-packed family-fun.

Prepare to be amazed by thrilling displays of cannon, pistol and blunderbuss firing, sword fighting and much more.

There will also be two authentic pirate tents on site; the first will be a 'Pirate Tavern' with card and dice games, stories and songs galore. The other will house a hands-on display of genuine pirate artefacts where little scallwags will be taught all about the pirate way of life and encouraged to have their photos taken with the Brethren.

We will be serving a delicious selection of sandwiches, snacks and refreshments in the Lift View Marquee.

The day will end with a pirate brawl in the tavern, whose side will you take??

There is no charge to enter the site or take part in activities.
