Temperatures in parts of England and Wales could reach highs of 28C (82.4F) on Wednesday, topped by highs of 30C (86F) on Friday.
But it’s not all good news for sun worshippers, with the warm weather interrupted by thundery showers on Thursday.
The sudden rise in temperature is thanks to the warm weather on the continent being pulled into Britain by our current high pressure.
Despite the high temperatures, the Met Office is not labelling this week’s warm weather a ‘heatwave’ due to the short nature of its visit.
Temperatures are due to fall into the weekend.
