Eight million pounds is to be spent cutting congestion at Chester’s Post House Roundabout.
The A55/Wrexham Road junction is one of the most congested in the city.
Work will begin in 2014 to widen the carriageway and install traffic lights on the Wrexham side.
The government says the scheme could help create 11,000 new jobs.
