Simon Davies
Sunday afternoon 2pm – 7pm
Anyone want to race me? This week I had an amazing physiotherapy session that sorted my back out. And just to think this time last week I was trying to blag a sponsored mobility scooter (seriously).
My week takes me all over town through the week, as I spend Monday to Friday running Roodee Web Design, helping to ‘get the word out’ for other Chester businesses. This can mean anything from coming up with ideas for marketing campaigns to delivering web sites, shooting videos, devising campaigns that are going to go to some form of print, or raising awareness on one of the many social media avenues such as Facebook or Twitter. I designed and built the website you are reading this on now.
I’ve been the voice on commercials for years and years. Right now I’m the voice on Poundland’s, Makro’s and DW Sports ads, and my first ever voice over was for the Odeon in Chester – I bought my microphone from the old Tandy store that used to be at Kwik Save on Sealand Road – I had to buy something because they used to show the door to kids who used to come in and play with the hi-fi gadgets without buying anything.

If you want to see what I’m up to right now or you want a mention this Sunday(try and give me 24 hours notice if you can), click onto me on Twitter or Facebook.
About me
Just like Dee, I was made in Chester too. I was born in Blacon, grew up in Broughton, went to school at St David’s in Saltney, left school to work on the radio and tele, and then set up the company that built Dee 106.3′s website over a decade ago.
Try to spot me on this old school photo from when the St David’s School band went on tour in Holland in 1983. (Answer underneath photo).
