Police looking into a serious assault in Chester in August have released a new CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
The 26-year-old victim was attacked by an unknown man with a glass bottle at around 7:40pm on Saturday August 26.
It happened in the courtyard area outside the Commercial hotel.
The offender struck the victim in the face before leaving the scene. The victim was treated for cuts to his face at the Countess of Chester hospital but was later discharged.
The suspected attacker (pictured) had a distinctive appearance at the time and can be seen wearing a tam o’shanta hat, red wig, white top and a red kilt.
Detective Constable Tom Philpotts, of Chester CID, said: “This was a nasty assault and I want to appeal to anyone who recognises this man or has any information that may help the investigation to contact me.”
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 901 of 26 August. Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
